Today I want to share with y’all one of my favorite “lifestyle portrait” sessions from this summer. To me, a lifestyle portrait is a shoot that is less posed and more candid. The portrait captures the personality of the subject; moments are captured as they naturally unfold. I especially love taking pictures of people doing what they love to do, whether that is painting in their studio, designing florals, or decorating a new space. I love working with other creatives.
This summer I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Tricia Egan, the talented owner/creator of Violet Floral Design. Tricia and I met while working at a bridal gown boutique in Charleston; we always have a blast together! Not only is Tricia incredibly talented, but she is kind, grateful, and so encouraging. Brides, if you’re looking for a creative and unique florist in Denver, Colorado, you MUST check her out.
Thank you Trish for letting me take these pictures! It was definitely one of my favorite sessions to date.
