It’s hard for me to even put into words how much I love this boho maternity session in Orlando, Florida. I was so honored that Megan & Dex invited me over to capture a piece of what it’s like to live in their home and be a part of their family. I am DYING to do more shoots just like this, where there is less posing, and more moment capturing. I want to FILL UP MY SUMMER WITH THESE SHOOTS! While your whole family is home this summer, we might as well get some great pictures of this stage in your family’s life, right?!

Megan & Dex love each other SO much that they just naturally moved through the pictures. It was such a relaxed, intimate, romantic, and loving shoot because I just took pictures of what they normally do! Like play with their dog, snuggle up in bed and on the couch, make tea, etc. Then, we moved outside to their backyard for some more classic portraits. I want to make sure to always capture both the candid and classic for these at home sessions. We started out in Megan & Dex’s front sunroom, my favorite room of the house! Dex played the piano while Megan just loved on him, and I was in heaven taking pictures in this bright, naturally lit room!

Then, we grabbed some pictures in their bedroom. Check out that insane Find Your Fiber macrame piece above their bed! Sarah is an incredibly talented local artist and business woman, and she created this piece for Megan & Dex’s wedding a couple of years ago!

Megan & Dex’s dog was a highlight of the shoot. He was so cuddly and loving, and literally wrapped his paws around Megan’s belly multiple times. He definitely knows that things are about to change…

Look really closely at these photos and see if you see something special! Dex is in the bottom left of these photos, just barely, because I shot through a reflective material. Dex & Megan were such a beautiful example to me of how to love your spouse, and make them feel beautiful, special, and seen. I wanted to take some portraits of Megan alone, and Dex asked if he could stay and watch. This hardly ever happens! He just kept saying how amazing she looked, and wanted to watch her moment in front of my lens.

I asked Megan & Dex what’s something they normally do in the afternoon, and they said, make tea! And invited me to enjoy some with them :) This was so fun, and I loved the look of their kitchen, with the light pouring in through the window above the sink.

Lastly, we moved out back for some classic, sunny portraits. Megan & Dex got married in their backyard, so this spot is incredibly meaningful to them. Megan & Dex, thank you for making my job more enjoyable by loving each other well! You are a beautiful picture of what marriage and love are supposed to look like, and it was a blessing for me to capture these pictures for you!
